Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Luminaura Reiki handles personal information when you use luminaurareiki.com, book a complementary wellness session, sign in to your account, or contact us. It is separate from the Terms & Conditions and from the Consent and Liability Waiver you accept when you book. Those documents cover the nature of the services, cancellation, and payment rules. This policy covers personal information.

1. Who this policy is for

This policy applies to visitors, people who contact us, and clients who create an account or book a session for themselves or for an animal they legally own. Luminaura Reiki offers complementary practices. We are not a medical or veterinary provider, and this website is not a patient or client portal for licensed clinical care. Please do not send medical or veterinary records unless you are comfortable with them being stored as part of a booking message or session note.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us and a small amount of technical information needed to run the site. Account. Booking and your account require an email address. We send a one-time code to that address so you can sign in. We do not use a password. Booking. When you book, we store your name, phone number, timezone, the service and any add-ons you choose, the appointment time, an optional message, and the time you accept the Consent and Liability Waiver. If your message is about an animal, that description is stored with the booking. Messages. The contact form asks for your email and a message, and a name if you choose to give one. Replies in your account are stored as part of that conversation. Sessions. After a booking, the practitioner may add session notes, homework, reflections, or files that you can see in your account. A profile image may be stored for your client record. Payment. When a service is paid online, you pay on a Stripe checkout page. We store whether the payment succeeded, the amount and service that were booked, and Stripe’s identifiers for that payment. We do not store your full card number or card security code. Technical. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser. We use the IP address of a request only to limit repeated sign-in and contact-form attempts. We do not use it to build a marketing profile.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to: • Create and keep your account signed in; • Book, confirm, change, and remind you about sessions, including by email, phone, or a calendar invitation; • Take payment and issue a refund when one is due; • Reply to messages you send us; • Show you your bookings, messages, and session materials in your account; • Protect the site from abuse; and • Keep records we need for accounting, disputes, and other legal duties. We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate Luminaura Reiki, or when the law requires it. • Neon stores account and booking records in a database in the United States and sends the one-time sign-in code to your email. • Stripe processes card payments. Stripe’s own privacy policy describes how it handles payment details on the checkout page. • Google Calendar may receive your email address and session time when a confirmed booking is added to the practitioner’s calendar. • Cloudflare R2 stores private files, such as a profile image or a file shared in a session, so they are not published on the public website. These providers process information for us. We do not allow them to use it for their own marketing. We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that the law, a court, or a government authority requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

5. Cookies and storage on your device

Signing in sets a session cookie so you stay signed in on luminaurareiki.com and admin.luminaurareiki.com. The cookie is limited to that sign-in. It is not an advertising cookie. Your theme choice is stored in the browser’s local storage under the name “theme.” You can clear it in your browser settings. The site will then follow your system appearance until you choose again. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep information

We keep account, booking, message, and session records for as long as we need them to provide sessions and to meet accounting, tax, and dispute obligations. Payment records are kept even if a booking is later cancelled, because they show whether a charge or refund occurred. If you ask us to delete information, we will delete what we are not required to keep and will tell you if something must stay.

7. Your choices

You can update your name and phone number the next time you book if they are not already on your account. You can read your bookings, messages, and session materials in My Account. You may ask us what personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by using the contact form on this website. Include the email address on your account so we can find the right records. We do not sell personal information, and we do not offer a “sale” opt-out because there is no sale to opt out of. California residents may still make the requests above. We will respond in line with applicable law. You may stop using the site at any time. Cancelling a session follows the cancellation rules in the Terms & Conditions.

8. Children

The site and booking are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or book a session. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and a payment page hosted by Stripe so card numbers are not stored on this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a current browser and keep access to your email account, because the sign-in code is sent there.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. The updated policy applies from the time it is posted, except where the law requires otherwise.

11. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or a request to access, correct, or delete personal information, can be sent through the contact form on this website. Use the email address on your account so we can match the request to the right records.
